Rough shooting entails walking behind Pointing Dogs which essentially hunt and point the birds for their hunters. The hunters then get into good shooting positions and one of the hunters then flush the birds out ahead of the Pointing Dog. The shot bird can then be retrieved by the dogs. This style of upland bird hunting for birds uses a combination of natural and agricultural covers to allow the birds the element of surprise. All of the birds are raised in the local area. Each is naturally excellent at adapting and are breed to be strong flyers. All factors which will challenge any level of shooter. It is not necessary for you to bring Shotgun Ammunition. We buy this for you and charge you on usage after the hunt is completed. There is no need for camouflage clothing when hunting birds in this style. but we do suggest hunter orange vests and hats. Birds can be prepared and shipped back to your chosen address for a fee. Guided Hunts IMPORTANT: Bird shooting and upland hunting with trained dogs is an intense experience. Lots of equipment is put to use. Dogs and Guides normally begin to flag after 2 hours of constant hunting. Hunters also begin to suffer from fatigue. It is therefore best to plan for the amount of walking you will be doing during a 2-3 hours hunt.
